The Global Monitoring Report provides an overview of actions that have been taken in the Netherlands to fight and prevent the various forms of sexual exploitation of children.

Within the three year project with The Body Shop, ECPAT International conducted researches on the trafficking of minors for sexual purposes.

A contribution of ECPAT International to the World Congress III against Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents.

This paper reviews progress in the actions to stop child trafficking, looking at the areas characterized as 'prosecution', 'prevention' and 'protection'. It focuses on action to stop children from being trafficking for sexual purposes, but notes that such efforts have been engulfed in a tide of related initiatives to stop sexual violence, forced labour, child labour and, in particular, trafficking in persons (i.e., adults and children). Many anti-child trafficking initiatives address trafficking that occurs for a variety of purposes, not only forsexual exploitation. While the paper tries to keep the focus on child trafficking for sexual purposes, much relevant information is about efforts to stop child trafficking in general.

ECPAT has written a manual intended for trainers who train other trainers on combating child trafficking. The manual, with some modifications, can also be used by trainers who want to train professionals on other topics related to children's welfare and children's rights.

This training guide has been developed to raise more awareness of the signals of sexual exploitation and consequences for children and improve the skills of the different stakeholders (law enforcement and care providers) who in their regular work meet potential victims.

This questions-and-answers-booklet comes with the Training Guide of Combating the Trafficking in Children for Sexual Purposes (2006).

This report gives insight in how and where children are (sexually) exploited in the Netherlands and how they can be protected from such exploitation.

ECPAT the Netherlands have published this report in association with the ECPAT Europe Law Enforcement Group. The report contains background information, country reports and recommendations about trafficking of minors for sexual purposes in 16 countries in Central, East and West Europe.
